LONGBEACHHOPHEAD: A person who enjoys a well crafted, quality beer who resides in the Long Beach, California area.
Years ago a group of people met once a week to share and discuss a wonderful liquid called beer. Same place and time every week. Thursday night was time to see friends, share beer and get out of the house. Legend has it that this group may date back to the 1970's? Who actually knows? One thing for sure, if a stranger stumbled into the little dark room with poor lighting, they would be welcomed with number ONE on the list and a smile.
The establishment that housed this weekly event, eventually eventfully evicted the group into utter displacement. Nowhere to share beer! If not for the age of e-mail, cell phones and web sites, this Long Beach tradition of sharing beer, may have vanished into whispering hop fields.
